Welcome to

Taiwan

Why nomads love
Taiwan
?
  • Warm welcome: Taiwanese are very welcoming, as a rule, to foreigners; always available to help, offer a meal, chat…
  • Taiwanese cuisine: no need to cook, go directly to the 'night market' or street stalls where you will find fresh fruit, bubble tea and all sorts of excellent food and dishes
  • Idyllic setting: Living in Taipei means enjoying the advantages of a capital city while remaining close to nature.

Life in

Taiwan

Imagine faces, mushrooms or animals in the strange shapes of the coral rocks of Yehliu, sculpted by the sea. Walking in the narrow streets of Jiufen village, lit by the red light of lanterns. Visit the Temple of Eternal Spring at the top of the Taroko Gorge. Walking in Yangmingshan Park in springtime, when cherry blossoms envelop the paths with their scent. On Green Island, bathing in one of the three salty hot springs of the world...

Transports in

Taiwan

It is possible to rent a scooter for short distances or if you decide to stay several days in a place. This is probably the most fun and economical way to get around. The railway network is in very good condition and serves the main cities of the island, but also the remote corners. There are 6 bus companies connecting the major cities: Kuo-Kuang Bus, Free Go Bus, Air Bus, UBus, Evergreen and Taoyuan Bus. It is not recommended to travel with an unofficial company. To get to the other islands of Taiwan, there are regular ferries to Green Island, Orchid Island, Mazu, Kinmen and Penghu.
